Tutu's Ubuntu Framed 18x18 Print
Artist's Statement:
I am so inspired by the life and work and writings of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, I was moved to create a word art portrait of the man. "Ubuntu" is a South African term that translates roughly "a person is a person through other persons" or you could say "I am because you are." I feel this powerful concept of "ubuntu" is really the unifying concept in all of his life and work, and it is just what the world, especially our Western Americanized world, desperately needs more of now.
